Risk Matrix

Picture
A. Ferrofluid leaks from container
If Ferrofluid were to leak through its container it would cause very minor problems. Also given that the project is being made with 3D printed parts and plastic filament there is a good chance for this to happen.

B. Ferrofluid empties from container
If the Ferrofluid were to completely leak out of the container then the system cannot work at all. Also given that Ferrofluid is a liquid it would be very difficult to contain all the substance once it has left the container.

C. Circuitry fails
The circuits used to control the system have a small chance to become faulty. As the circuitry is required to make the system work it is very important to maintain. However, the circuitry is very simple to fix and replace and therefore is not seen as a huge concern.

D. Single inductor fails
If a single inductor fails, then the system will experience a drop in performance. Since we are using multiple inductors in the system a single failure should not cause a drastic problem.

E. Multiple inductors fail
If multiple inductors fail, then the system fails as well. The more inductors that fail the lower the performance gets and the higher the consequence. If all inductors fail, then the entire system fails.
